Hey y’all,

Hopefully since I’ve got you here, you’ll at least read to the bottom of this to find out what this is all about. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Jamie & I’m a 23 year-old second-year law student at the University of Alabama. Before moving south, I was born and raised in Bloomfield Hills, a suburb 45 minutes outside of Detroit, and graduated from the University of Michigan (GO BLUE).

Before SportsCenter on Fifth, I wrote (what I deem to be) a successful blog on sports and fashion called Cleats & Couture. Cleats & Couture is still out there in all it’s archived glory, and yes, is still receiving paychecks from FoxSports. However, after the Tuscaloosa Tornado, I lost a lot of my inspiration to write as much and as intensely as I had been and took a break. Over the summer, I switched blogging platforms from Blogger to Tumblr, which allows me to post and find photos easily and follow other blogs with similar interests and pass that information easily along to my readers.

What will be new about SportsCenter on Fifth is the element of me it has to it. There will be text posts, photographs, and a mix of everything with a sports & fashion themed flare to it. The posting amount will vary depending on the time of year, and the pressure will be less as there is no contract attached to this blog. Regardless of the new name, platform change, and different vibe, the writing & style will be by the same author you so loyally supported for the last year (which I will never be able to thank you for). So sit back, relax, and enjoy the new & more personal blog, SportsCenter on Fifth.
